NOTD featuring New Maybelline ColorShow

I found these brand new Maybelline colorshow polishes whilst perusing the aisles of Boots yesterday  They were only £2.99 each and there was an offer on for buy one get one half price across all Maybelline products so I thought I would give them a whirl.

I got shades Latte and Urban Turquoise. Its a normal brush, not maxi or mini just regular. Its a really nice formulation, not gloopy, not runny. It is easy to apply (unless you try and use it with a 7 month old on your lap, then its tricky!) and it dries nice and glossy.

Latte is a very nude colour, this is a couple of coats. In some lights this doesn't look like I am wearing nail polish at all so is a perfect nude really. I think this will work great under some glitter polish as a base coat or for when you want something on your nails but you don't really want any colour. Its a simple and understated colour, who doesn't love those!

Urban turquoise is a thicker consistency to latte, which is a bit sheer-er. This is one coat which is impressive. This is like an aqua marine shade, more of a green turquoise rather than a teal or blue based turquoise. 

I am really impressed with these polishes and would definitely recommend them. I'm going to buy some more shades, wine shimmer and mauve kiss look lovely so I might get those next. You get 7ml for £2.99 and they had quite a varied colour selection. According to boots.com (here) they have a 3 for 2 on these but I got mine instore buy one get one half price so there are bargains to be had if you fancy trying them.
